If I upgrade to a new version of TagLink, will I lose my previous data?

-

No. When TagLink is uninstalled, it makes a backup copy of the database and places it in a newly created folder called "TagLinkOLD".

During an installation/upgrade, the TagLink install script will check the registry to determine if TagLink has been previously installed. If a previous version of TagLink is detected, a migration tool will be run automatically that will copy all of your old data into the new database structure.

This migration tool comes standard with TagLink and is backwards compatible with every version since TagLink 5.0.

We have also been able to successfully migrate lockout tagout data from other commercially available and "homegrown" systems to make a TagLink implementation easier for your facility.
