Computerized LOTO Systems improve safety, save money, and increase compliance
There are four compliance options for dealing with OSHA lockout tagout requirements," according to Mark Banus speaking at the Annual Meeting of the National Safety Council. "The first option is to ignore the requirement. Second: comply using paper forms and notebooks. Third: build your own in-house computer program. Fourth: buy a Maintenance Safety Software (MSS) Program."

MSS Awards Manufacturers a victory
In the ongoing "Time & Cost War" in manufacturing, MSS guru Mark Banus believes there are two universal truths. "One: The big, easy targets have already been hit. Two: Progress will now be marked by a continuing series of smaller, but significant, victories."

MSS Software the next big thing?
Mark Banus, executive vice president of the Virginia Beach-based software development and consulting firm Stilwell & Associates of the USA, Inc. , was a featured presenter at the recent National Safety Council (NSC) Congress and Exposition in Orlando, Fla. The annual exposition, the largest of its kind in the country, was attended by over 20,000 safety professionals. Banus' presentation focused on the safety enhancements of his company's flagship Maintenance Safety Software program, TagLink, which was designed to simplify and improve complicated Lockout/Tagout procedures required by OSHA. These procedures are used extensively by the U.S. Navy, chemical manufacturers, nuclear-power plants, refineries and other heavy industries.
